We strongly recommend our customers to pre-book their vehicle at least 2-4 days before arrival especially during high season July/August when the availability can be very limited due to high demand.
When picking up your hire vehicle from Limenas – Thassos Town why not take the time to check out the island’s capital and its liveliest resort. Here you will find an excellent choice of restaurants, tavernas, bars, shops, supermarkets and amusements. The sunsets from either the old or new harbour are amazing and you will be spoilt for choice as to where to get the best experience.
In the town itself and just outside you will find a number of archaeological sites, a museum and just behind the old harbour you will find the first and most important site, the Agora (the Forum).
Just like in any larger town, there are numerous banks and plenty of doctors. Because of the town’s popularity, parking can be difficult so we recommend that you park in the large free car park situated just past the ferry port. It’s only a short distance by foot into the town from there.
