Although you can visit Thassos any time of the year, certain months can be more enjoyable than others. May is a great time to visit if you enjoy hiking and being in nature. During this time, the flowers are blooming, the weather is mild, and the air is fresh. September is also lovely as it’s still warm enough to swim in the sea but not so hot that you can’t enjoy lying on the beach.

Which village is your favourite and why?

Golden Beach is by far one of the best villages on the island. It combines a sandy clear beach with fantastic mountain views. The area is also quiet so you can really relax and enjoy your time there. Golden Beach also offers a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling.

Which is the best resort for families?

The best resort for families is Limenaria and Potos due to the easy access to beautiful sandy beaches and the big choice of shops and taverns in the areas. These areas are also quite lively so you won’t get bored. Whether you’re traveling with kids, or teens, these two resorts are great for families.

Which is the best resort for adults/couples?

If you’re traveling with your significant other, Golden Beach is definitely the place to go. It has a romantic atmosphere with its clear blue waters and sandy beaches. You’ll also find some bars and restaurants in the area too should you want to spend an evening out.
